FEELING

I'm in a music mood.
Whenever I'm sad or down or bored, and I'm feeling too lazy to turn to art or fashion,
music  inspires my soul and turns my whole world upright.
 I love that feeling.
I thought Id share my go to play list with all of you, just in case your in need of some music therapy too :) Enjoy!!

Say Yes to NATURAL BEAUTY

I recently became very interested in home remedies and natural ways to treat my hair and skin, as seen in one of my previous posts. I love the results the Olive Oil treatments gave my hair, and it feels so good to know exactly what it is I'm putting onto my body. With that in mind, I did some research and came across the YES TO CARROTS website. Talk about a new obsession. Everything is all natural, there is no animal testing, everything is fifteen dollars or less and I get great results!!! What more can a girl ask for in a product?? I thought Id share my full beauty regimen here and I hope that if you try it you will find the amazing changes in your skin and hair and feel as confident in the products as I do.

  • When I get home from a long day and am ready for relaxation I take my makeup off with The YES TO BLUEBERRIES, brightening facial towelettes. They are dermatologist tested, bio degradable and hypoallergenic, made out of Blue Berrie, Lemon Peel, and Apple! After you wipe clean you don't even need to rinse!!!

  • I have very very dry skin so before I go to bed I use The YES TO CARROTS, nourishing body lotion on my legs, arms, and back. Made with Safflower Oil, Carrots, Sweet Potatoes, and Pumpkins, My skin is getting Vitamin A and Beta Carotene that it needs.

  • In the morning I take my shower and use the YES TO CARROTS Daily pampering Shampoo and conditioner, Made with Carrots and Dead Sea Minerals my curls are left soft, shiny and moisturised. I also use the YES TO CUCUMBER, calming shower gel. Made with Cucumbers, Green Tea, and Dead Sea Minerals, my skin is left refreshed and glowing, even my acne has started to heal.

  • After the shower, to lock in moisture and repair any damage the hot water did to my skin I use the YES TO CARROTS, Body Butter. Made with Carrots and Shea Butter, your skin with soak this right up, and trust me you wont be able to live without it!
  • Finally before I apply Make-Up I use the YES TO CARROTS, Daily Facial Moisturiser with SPF 15. Made with Carrots, Pumpkin Seed Oil, and Zinc Oxide, I trust that my face has a healthy layer of protection.

Its almost a month into 2012.
My resolutions keep running through my head.
I feel like this is a year for change and for once change feels good.
New beginnings, New friends, New beliefs, New hopes, dreams and inspirations.
With the Chinese new year being tomorrow I figure what a great time to finally post.
Its time for a fresh start to a new year filled with happiness, good health, great company, bold resolutions, and lots of love.

Christmas Time

On December 14 (my padres birthday) I spent the night with my dear daddio decorating our holiday tree. This is one thing I look forward to every year, I always start to feel the Christmas spirit on this day. My dad assembles the tree and loads it up with lights, and I go crazy making sure its covered with all of our mix matched collection of ornaments. My favorite being my ceramic hand print from way back when I was in a pre school.

This past weekend my cousin and I ventured into Manhattan to go see the Christmas Hoopla in Rockefeller Center. When I say mob scene it is by no means an understatement, people were everywhere, you would think Christmas trees were falling from the sky it was so crowded. There's something about NYC that makes you not care so much about the crowds though, just seeing all the families together taking pictures, smiling, laughing, and enjoying their time together for me, is better then  seeing the sights. I love spending time with my family. I had so much fun exploring the city with my cousin, I cannot wait for our next trip in.

Today was my last day of work until the new year. We had three days of festive holiday parties. I don't think  I've ever heard or watched so many Christmas songs or movies. I love this time of year at work. We have so many laughs, everyone is in such good spirits and the kids are so excited for Santa. It helps to bring back the magic in believing. Happy Holidays

Hair rescue

Once cold weather comes around my skin and hair take a drastic change for the worst.
My ends literally felt like a Brillo pad.... Not so nice.
So this past weekend I did some research on natural ways to treat dry and/or damaged hair.
I came across this miracle worker. Olive Oil.
Who would of thought something you keep in the kitchen would be an inexpensive rescue treatment to the mess of hair I had going on.
I've been using it every three or four days now, I put a quarter size amount in my palm and run it through my hair concentrating mostly on my ends. I do dab whats ever left on my palm, around the crown of my hair,
that's where my skin gets super dry.
I wrap my hair in a high tight bun and sleep with the treatment in and give it a good rinse in the morning.
I have naturally curly hair and no matter what products I have tried or how much money I have spent,
my hair has never held up this shine or softness.
I have a new addition to my beauty regimen and I am obsessed.

Holiday Spirit

This time of year comes so fast, Once Thanksgiving passes I usually have to stop a realize Christmas is just around the corner. In realizing that I come to realize I haven't even thought of Christmas shopping or what the right gifts to buy are and with that I usually get quit Grinch like. I get stressed and over whelmed. This year is no different in the Christmas shopping aspect, I just stopped and smelled the coffee today that I have 26 days to complete my holiday list, but I have to say this year I am not stressing. I'm putting my energy towards something positive this year. ART. I've helped our three year old classroom gain A little holiday cheer:)

(The kids loved watching me paint the famous SANTA CLAUS)

While sharing classroom photo's I figured I'd share one of my favorite projects. The family tree project! We sent ours out two weeks before Thanksgiving, so kids could share their families and tell us who and what they are thankful for. I added my addition to our Family Tree wall this morning. I loved being able to share some of my favorite family photos with the children in class. It's also such a comforting feeling to have treasured memories displayed in the workplace. I love it:)
